  • Put butter in a microwave safe bowl.
  • Juice half of the lemon, and cut the other half into thin circles.
    Add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, minced garlic and garlic powder to melted butter.
  • Mix all the ingredients for the butter mix together.
  • Like the baking sheet with parchment paper.
    Use paper towels to dry cod fish fillets and put them on the baking sheet.
  • Season the cod with salt and black pepper.
  • Divide the butter mixture among the cod fillets, and spread the mix on top of each piece.
  • Preheat the oven to 400F. Bake cod for 12-15 minutes, until the fish is flaky and opaque, the meat thermometer should register at least 145F for the fish.
