Avocado And Tomato Salad

Avocados are great - they are delicious, good for you, and they are very easy to cook with. A few slices of avocado, with some lime juice, salt and pepper are a great addition to dinner.

Another great thing to make with avocados is guacamole, a very simple, but tasty avocado spread. But when I get tired of guacamole I make another simple avocado dish, this very simple avocado salad. All you need are just a few fresh ingredients, and you don’t need to use any oil - avocados are fatty enough.

Just like with many salads, this is one of my favorite easy recipes, as it takes just a bit of time to prepare. A couple of other easy recipes are Cucumber Salad, Watermelon Feta Salad, Green Fig Salad With Feta, Apple Salad Recipe, Radish and Cucumber Salad.

You can serve this salad with different main dishes, such as Chili, Bolognese Recipe, Indian Style Chicken Salad.

Tools You Will Need

Knife
Cutting Board
Salad Bowl
Dinnerware Plates

Ingredients

2 medium avocados, peeled, pitted
half of a small onion, chopped
1 large tomato, chopped
juice of 1 lime
salt and pepper to taste

Make the Avocado Salad

Cut avocados into medium sized pieces.

Add avocados to the salad bowl, drizzle with lime juice.

Add the rest of ingredients and toss lightly. Be careful when tossing to preserve the integrity of the avocado slices. But even if the salad becomes mushy it won’t affect the taste. Enjoy!

I love your simplicity. I have a few specials but mostly run from everyday recipes with more than 3 or 4 ingredients or 10 mins prep. I have never had avocado so I will have to try this one if I can find one.
