I remember how before I got my Instant Pot Pressure Cooker, it took forever to make oatmeal. First, I had to plan ahead, since I needed some time to make it. Then, I had to stand over the hot stove, mixing it, and making sure it is not overdone or underdone.

The great news is that I don’t have to do any of that anymore, and neither will you! When you use the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker, you will be able to add all the ingredients to the Instant Pot and then enjoy your delicious fall breakfast in just no minutes, no work required!

You will be surprised that to make this easy fall oatmeal recipe, all you need is this equipment:

Instant Pot Pressure Cooker, the secret to making the most amazingly delicious oatmeal in minutes.

Instant Pot Bowl for Pot in Pot Cooking, a pot in pot cooking refers to a cooking method, where you put a pot with food inside the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker.

Instant Pot Trivet, to put your pot inside the Instant Pot on.

What ingredients do you need to make this delicious pumpkin spice dish? Here is what you will need:

Old Fashioned Rolled Oats, make sure to use the Old Fashioned Rolled Oats for this recipe.

Sugar, you will need just a bit of sugar to add some sweetness.

Canned Pumpkin, can’t have pumpkin oat meal without pumpkin. Make sure to use 100% pumpkin for this recipe, and not the pumpkin pie filling.

Pumpkin Pie Spice, this spice is going to add the fall flavor that everyone is looking for.

Milk, use regular milk, or if you would prefer to make vegan oat meal, use plant based milk instead.

How To Make Instant Pot Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal

It is so simple to make these delicious and healthy pumpkin spice oats breakfast! See the recipe card below for timing, measurements, and to print out the recipe.

First, combine all the ingredients together in the Instant Pot Bowl for Pot in Pot Cooking, and mix them together.

Next, put the Instant Pot Trivet on the bottom of your Instant Pot Pressure Cooker. Add water and put the Instant Pot Bowl with the ingredients on top of the trivet. Cook the oatmeal.

Once it is done cooking, use the Natural Release and wait for the pin to drop. Carefully take the pumpkin pie oats out of the Instant Pot, and let them cool for a few minutes.

Once you make pumpkin oats, and they cool completely, put them into an air tight glass container, and store in a fridge for a day or two. When you are ready to eat them, warm them up for 30 – 45 seconds in the microwave.

  • Combine all of the ingredients in Instant Pot Bowl for Pot in Pot Cooking. Mix the ingredients together.
  • Pour a cup water into the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker. Put the Instant Pot Trivet and put the bowl with the oatmeal on top of the trivet.
    Place the lid on the Instant Pot, use the manual setting, and cook for 10 minutes. Use Natural Release, and wait for the valve to drop. Carefully open the lid.
  • Carefully remove the bowl with pumpkin pie oatmeal from the Instant Pot, and let it cool for 5-10 minutes. Top with nuts or pumpkin spice, and serve with Instant Pot Iced Tea.

    I love oatmeal! I always do a huge pot of oatmeal with cinnamon at the start of the week and keep it in the fridge, so in the morning my husband just get some and heat it in the microwave for a quick and simple lunch. I know now what’s my next oatmeal will taste of 🙂 ty for the recipe!
