Every holiday season I hear from people looking to buy Christmas gifts, Hanukkah gifts or holiday gifts for people who are learning to cook. They do not want to buy a gift that is cooking related, but is completely useless to the recipient. At the same time, people who ask me questions usually have a very specific price range for the gift, and they do not want to exceed it.

This year is different from the previous years. First, because of the economy, more and more people are saving money by cooking at home instead of going out. This means that when their friends and family members are looking to buy them gifts, they are looking for gifts that have something to do with cooking.
