  1. I like finely diced red onion, cucumber and dill or paprika (not both) in my egg salad with good sea salt. If I”m feeling up to it- sometimes even a smidge of roasted garlic works wonders to dress up a staple like egg salad.

  2. Hey Biana,
This is a great recipe and the hot dog buns – a great work around as egg salad tends to be drippy, the bun will better absorb the juices without falling apart. Will recommend this onward! I add cucumber myself, (which is one of the things that tends to produce so much juice as they sit in the fridge) and also alfalfa sprouts. My mom used to add pickles and also olives on occasion. Egg salad is so basic you could add almost any other vegetable or pickle and it would taste good. I remember one memorable picnic when Dad made the egg salad and due to his native Southern-ness, we found okra pickle had been added. It tasted ok, just the same. Great blog! BTW, can I suggest an “About the Author/s” block? Would be lovely to know it comes from you! 🙂

  3. My egg salad would not be complete without mustard, relish, and chopped black olives. Just talking about egg salad (one of my all time favorites) makes my mouth start watering. I think I should move away from the computer right now and gravitate toward the kitchen. 🙂
