In my bag of shishito peppers, I found two that were spicy. Usually, one in ten shishito peppers is spicy. It is fun to try the peppers, to see who finds the spicy one.

The Blistered Shishito Peppers are very simple to make. First, wash the peppers, and poke holes in them. You need to do that so that the peppers don’t blow up when you fry them.

Then, saute the peppers in oil until they blister. Take them off the skillet, and sprinkle with salt and dill. That’s it!

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Shishito Peppers
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • β…› tsp Salt
  • ΒΌ tsp Dill

Instructions

  • Wash and chop the dill.
    Wash the shishito peppers. Use a fork to make a few holes in each pepper.
  • Heat up the oil in the saute pan. Add the shishito peppers. Saute for a few minutes on one side. Turn and continue cooking until the peppers are all blistered, about 10 minutes.
    Sprinkle with a bit of salt and dill, and serve on a plate with Rotisserie Chicken and Cauliflower Fritters.
