What is one dessert that says fall to you? To me, it is caramel, which I always had to buy in the past. That is because every time I tried making it on stove top, it burned and didn’t come out. After I have tried a few times, I gave up and haven’t tried making it for years. That is until I made it in the Instant Pot, with one ingredient and no work.

Instant Pot Pressure Cooker, this is what is going to help you make yummy dulce de leche without any work at all!

Mixing Bowl, as we are using Instant Pot PIP (pot in pot) cooking method for this recipe, you will need a small stainless steel bowl to use.

What Is Instant Pot PIP (Pot in pot) Cooking?

The idea for Instant Pot PIP method is simple. For some dishes, it is much easier to cook the recipe in a separate pot, and not in the actual inner pot of the Instant Pot.

As we don’t want to add water directly to the Sweetened Condensed Milk, it makes sense to make Instant Pot dulce de leche by using the pot in pot method.

  1. 5 stars
The caramel to swim in – it looks extra special, that’s for sure. I can see myself enjoying it in the morning with a piece of my favorite bagel!

  2. Why not just open a small amount with can opener and just leave it in the can? Cover with foil so not moisture gets in.
