Chocolate Pretzels Cookies

Tips For Making No Bake Easter Cookies

What kind of pretzels do you need for making no bake cookies?
Any kind of pretzels will work. Regular pretzels, thin pretzel rods or others will work. Make sure to cut them small enough, so that you can make bird nest batter.

What can you use instead of chocolate chips for making birds nests cookies?
We like chocolate chips in this recipe, because melted chocolate chips and chopped pretzels taste just like chocolate covered pretzels. If you don’t have them on hand, use chocolate melts. You can use white chocolate melts or milk chocolate melts or even colorful chocolate melts. Your nests will be differently colored, depending on what color chocolate melts you use.

What can you use instead of Easter Candy Coated Mini Eggs?
Easter Candy Coated Mini Eggs is what makes the nests so cute. However, if you don’t have them, you can use a few other items. Mini Marshmallows look similar to small birds eggs, so instead of using mini egg candies, you can add 3 mini marshmallows on top of each bird nest.

Easy Easter Cookies

If you don’t have mini marshmallows, you can also use sprinkles to sprinkle on top of the birds nests to make them festive and fun.

How to melt chocolate chips for no bake cookies
It is very important to not overheat melted chocolate chips, or they will not become glossy melted chocolate, but rather a blob that you can’t do anything with. Make sure to melt them in a microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds, and then mix the resulting mixture. If it’s still not completely melted, melt for just 10 seconds at a time.

Why do you need to use parchment paper to line the baking sheet before placing cookies on it?
If you don’t line the baking sheet with parchment paper, the cookies will get stuck to the cookie sheet, and you will not be able to remove them.

How to store Easter no bake cookies
Store them in an air tight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
