Waldorf Salad Recipe

Here is a simple salad that is easy to make and that is very tasty – the Waldorf Salad. This salad was created a long time ago (late 1800’s) in New York City. Typically, the Waldorf Salad Recipe contains just a few ingredients: celery, apples and walnuts. This salad is typically dressed with mayonnaise.

This Waldorf Salad Recipe is slightly different. In addition to celery, apples and walnuts this salad contains dry cranberries. And instead of mayonnaise it is dressed with Greek yogurt. The Greek yogurt adds a tangy note, which pairs great with apples, celery, walnuts and dry cranberries.

It is very simple to make this Waldorf Salad. To make the salad, chop celery, apples and walnuts. Then, combine celery, walnuts, apples and walnuts and dress with Greek yogurt. If you want, you can add a bit of powder sugar to make the salad a bit sweeter.

Ingredients For Waldorf Salad Recipe

3 large Golden Delicious Apples
2 Stalks of Celery
A handful of Walnuts
A handful of Dry Cranberries

2-3 Tablespoons of Greek Yogurt

How To Make Waldorf Salad Recipe

Wash, core and chop the apples on a cutting board.

Wash and chop the celery on a cutting board.

Chop the walnuts.

In a salad bowl, combine apples, celery, walnuts, and dry cranberries. Add yogurt and mix.

Optional – to make the salad slightly sweeter, add a pinch of powdered sugar to the salad and mix.
