Ingredients For Swiss Chard Recipe With Chickpeas

1 pound of Red Swiss Chard
A Cup Of Cooked Chickpeas
2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
1 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Salt
Fresh Black Pepper

How To Make Swiss Chard Recipe With Chickpeas

Wash Red Swiss Chard and trim it. Chop Red Swiss Chard on a cutting board, keeping chopped stems separately and chopped leaves separately.

Open the can of chickpeas and drain it. Wash the chickpeas and drain them again.

Heat up 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil on a saute pan. Add chopped stems of Red Swiss Chard and cook for 5-7 minutes. Then, add the chopped Swiss chard leaves, and continue sauteing until the Swiss chard is cooked. Add the chickpeas and cook for a few more minutes. Add salt and fresh black pepper to taste.

Arrange the Swiss chard with chickpeas on a plate and drizzle one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil on top.
