Ingredients For Red Onions and Cucumber Salad Recipe

4 medium Cucumbers
1/2 of a small Red Onion
a handful of toasted Sesame Seeds

2 Tablespoons of Rice Vinegar
2 Tablespoons of Canola Oil
1/2 teaspoon of Sugar

How To Make Red Onions and Cucumber Salad

Peep and chop the cucumbers. Chop the red onions.

Make the dressing – combine rice vinegar, canola oil, and sugar and mix.

In a salad bowl, combine red onions and cucumbers. Add the dressing and mix. Garnish with sesame seeds.

  1. The non-chef in me is always puzzled when I see sugar, even such a small amount, in a savory recipes like this, cole slaw, etc. That aside, this sounds yummy. I often make cucumber/onion salads, but I think the sesame seeds probably elevate this beyond the norm. Yum!
