My Take On Lamb Shawarma
When I am out, I like to get shawarma sandwiches. I tried making it myself - with my own spin, of course - and it came out great, so here it is.
My take on lamb shawarma is a pita sandwich with lamb patties. The onion, parsley and spices make the lamb patties very flavorful. And when you put the lamb patties on a pita, and add hummus and tomato and cucumber salad, it becomes a tasty dish!

How To Make Lamb Patties
Grate the onion. Chop the parsley using a cutting board.
In a mixing bowl combine lamb, onions, parsley, eggs, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, pepper. Mix well.
Form the patties. I make them flat, as you can see in the picture. Heat up the canola oil in the saute pan and fry the patties. First, fry them for 4-6 minutes on one side. Then turn them over and fry until done.
To make pitas, put a pita on a dinner plate. Spread some hummus on the pita, top with two patties and top them with some tomato and cucumber salad. Enjoy!
